Gabi 2nd place at the Challenge Championship Samorin and Oliver great new PB in Ingolstadt
Furios weekend for 2 Pro Train athletes:
Gabriella Picco, W55-59, was qualified for The Championship 2023 in Samorin, half distance.
A bit afraid of the cold water temperature, Gabi nonetheless showed a very solid swim with 8th place in her category.
But then the chase has begun, she consistently gained placement after placement, finished the bike in 5th position and worked her way up to second place during the half marathon.
Final time 5:27.52!
An other excellent race result for Gabi, who for many many years now is a solid rock and gives me so much coaching satisfaction.
Congrats Gabi, you rock!
Oliver Horak (coached by Jana Perrone) raced the middle distance in Ingolstadt (Germany), he crossed the finish line after 4:05:17 and conquered the 60th place overall out of almost 1000 participants.
Oli improved his time compared to 2019 over 50 minutes despite the not recovered legs from a tough camp week.
