Well done Jana!
Last sunday, Jana Perrone, F 30-34, raced Schaffhauser Triathlon - Switzerland (4k swim - 70k bike with 900+ - 18k run with 300+).
For Jana it was kind of a home race, as she lives in Zürich. But more then a real race it was a good possibility to find out where she stands at the moment, how her fitness is... as she is coming out of a very intense working and studying period.
Therefore Jana raced with a heart rate belt, with a powermeter on the bike and with her Garmin device to collect a lot of data :-)
But during the race we agreed to rely on her feelings and to not look much at the real time data.
The result shows that Jana has an excellent body awareness and was also able to time herself well during this medium distance race.
She also made an experiment on her race nutrition, increasing her carbohydrate intake per hour significantly, which worked well and allowed her to race with constant energy and no periods of weakness.
5.13.42 total time, 5th place in her category and 9th place overall. We are really happy with the outcome and now we can use the data carefully for the training leading into 70.3 Cervia, Italy in about a month.
Well done Jana, you rock!
